[vc_row][vc_column width=”1/1″][vc_column_text]During the course of a short term mission visit to the Light of Hope Mission in India, discussions were held between Mr Pappy Daniel, the Director of the Mission, and Rennie and Dorothea Clarke regarding the possibility of establishing a more formal working relationship/partnership between India and England, with specific focus for the UK operation to raise funds for the Mission in India to help meet identified immediate, short and long term needs.
The Trust is currently awaiting confirmation of its status from the Charity Commission, but during the stages of setting up, clear objectives have been drawn up and a series of communication programmes have been identified to raise the profile of the Mission, not only in the UK but also wherever the Trustees may travel and have contacts or network.
Four of the Trustees are actively involved in Mission;
Rennie Clarke – India
Dorothea Clarke – India
Colin Reed – Philippines
Michael Fitch – Ghana
A.N. Other – awaiting confirmation
None of the members of the Trust receive any income for the work they do and only a small amount is used for administrative or other essential needs.
Rennie and Dorothea Clarke will make an annual visit to India each May to ensure that all the monies raised and sent to the Mission are being used in the correct manner. They will also hold meetings with the Mission’s management team to update and to be updated of all current and future developments.
Upon their return, they will naturally submit a detailed report to the Trustees on all their findings and also write and distribute a general newsletter to all the partners of the Trust.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
